turns out the buckeyes have won 3 of the last 4 feista bowls and they are going to that bowl this year, and last two times the bucks were in the rose bowl, they won it, yes michigan lost bad to USC, but thats because michigan always lets you down.

Nick K: 1st off i am sorry you feel so passionate about this, i dont mean to offend, it was jsut a question of will it sway anyone either way if it happens. and second this is the 1st season where the BCS national championship isnt also a victory in the 4 bowl rotation. I was talking about the fact that it is played in tempe, arizona again this year, not that thats the bowl they will win again. You need to chill dude, its only a question. lol

1st of all the loser of OSU and Mich. goes to the Rose Bowl. Not a bad deal for the loser. Of course, we (Buckeye's) want the National Title. OSU is No#1 they will stay #1, Smith will Win the Heisman. OSU has the largest Student Class. Over 60,000. They are #1 in this catagory rated in 2006. People Should join the Band wagon. It's a great school, in a great city, with great team, who has a great coach, and is backed by the Best Damn Band in the Land! Tressel will be worshiped like Woody my friend.

I think people in the Columbus area will, since they really have very little else to cheer for in that city. Almost a million people, and they can't get anything besides an NHL team - it's no wonder they cling so tightly to the Buckeyes.

I don't think anyone outside of Ohio will jump on the bandwagon. If anything, they'll be shocked that Ohio State actually won, given that they've only got one national championship to show for the past 30 years. Most seasons, their hype is better than their performance, but that's again because, as I said, there's not a lot else to cheer for in the central Ohio region.

They already are on the wagon. I live in NW ohio, about 10 minutes from that state up north. There have been so many more people flying the flags and wearing the scarlet & gray that it just makes me laugh.
Even though I like OSU, I am and always have been a Notre Dame Fan, no matter what. My flag flies, my sweat shirts are worn and I cheer just as loud, no matter what the record.
It's the true fans that count, not just the fair weather ones.....
BTW, QUINN FOR HEISMAN!!!!!!!!

some people might jump on their bandwagon, but obviously Michigan fans will continue hating them as they always have.

and to dwh12345...why'd you use the Rose Bowl. its not the Rose Bowl anymore...or any other bowl. its just the "National Championship Game" from now on. and to counter what you said abt Big 10 teams doing bad once they get to the Bowl games....just look at the 2002 National Championship game (the 2002 Fiesta Bowl), Ohio State was #2 and Miami (FL) was #1...we were 7-point underdogs. and who won that game? yea thats right.

Ohio State won't have a great band wagon because the offense is not exciting. Fans want wide open offenses and high scoring teams. Ohio plays great defense and good stable offense. It is not an exciting formula for the typical fan.

when ohio state wins the national title, troy smith won't be quarterback. i'm not sure who it will be because we're talking years in the future.

don't get me wrong, i don't hate ohio state. i actually think they are an incredible team. the same goes for michigan. but i really think michigan will pull off the upset on november 18th and sneak their way into the national championship game.
