subtract x from both sides
3x>-18
divide both sides by 3

You need to get rid of one of the variables. I'll do x.
4x-x+8>-10
3x+8>-10
Then you need to subtract 8.
3x+8-8>-10-8
3x>-18
Then divide both sides by 3 to get:
x>-6
