My girlfriend is an Anthoropology major and all into the "monkey" thing. I'd like to suprise her by taking her somewhere where we can interact with one. Any ideas? I live in Sothern California. Even if it's not local. Let me know of any numbers or locations. Hope you can help me.

She's not going to be allowed to go into enclosures anyplace, but you can try the Gibbon Conservation Center in Santa Clarita. It's about 40 miles north of LA. It's a great organization and if she's a physical anthro or primatology major, it's one of the best places around to study an ape up close.

Look up the number to the local DNC
You will find plenty of primates there.

I was into primates at one time, and really wanted to visit it, but never made it up. It's in Ellensburg, WA.

Go to the closest zoo......and then tell them that your on a date and that you'll pay them to let you touch or "interact" with a monkey.
