Your water can break, you can feel pain in the belly, you will start nesting (uncontrolable cleaning), or you will just feel different in general then you have been ...good luck!

When I was pg for the first time, I was thinking the same thing, but I soon found out how silly I was thinking! I'm not saying your being silly, I am actually saying your being "normal"! But believe me, you'll have NO doubt when your in labor. Labor will start out with very lite pain either in the tummy area, or in the back area. Or your water will break, and it will look like you pottied your self! Either way it goes, just always keep in mind, it isn't going to last forever, and the outcome is going to be a beautiful baby that you made!

pain. You start getting contractions and they are light at first and then start to get harder. There really is no other way to know if you are going into labor. Other signs could mean labor is days away or an hour away. You just dont know.

mine started at 5:00am! ( of course!!)
I felt pains I thought were just gas pains...I had three within an hour or so, so I thought OK, if I have another one I know its a contraction, so about 6am, I got up and read my book on pregnancy, then i felt the need to poo ( sorry) I had diarreah and there was blood, thats all I needed to know! I packed my curling iron and yelled at my hubby to HURRY IT UP! and we were on our way, my water never broke, so I was confused, and they didnt really hurt, until I was almost ready to go, then the pain really set in, I got to the hospital at 7:30 and had Aiden at 9:30! WHEW BARLEY MADE IT! a total of 4 hours!
