I'm 20 and have been trying to have a baby for about 6 months now
I have one child already and after I had him I was on the depo for aprox. 3 years. Should I ask for fertility drugs? What else can I do?

Your body may need up to a year to adjust after coming off depo. Talk to a doctor, but I doubt that you will get fertility drugs too easily.

Check with your Dr. I have heard many women have a hard time ttc after going off the depo shot. I don't know how long the shot stays in your system. There are fertility meds that can help you ovulate, such as Clomid. Clomid helped me conceive, but I never had the depo shot, so I don't know for certain if it will help you. Good luck.

Talk to your doctor. If you're 20 and have been trying for only 6 months, it seems you should be able to try for a bit longer before even thinking about fertility treatments.

Consultant your OB/GYN and ask them any questions and present your concerns...they may suggest you go see a fertility doctor....you are still really young.....is there anything that would make you believe you have reproduction problems?
It could be all the pressure you are placing on yourself to get pregnant, sometime a vacation does the trick.

And it is not always the woman, it is sometime the man (low sperm count sometime) Tell your man to wear boxers to not damage it little buddies.

i could get a 2d opinion till now doing something considerable. i replaced into on clomid for 6 cycles and that i've got extremely undesirable PCOS. each so often my ovaries could swell, yet while your physician is monitoring you, they ought to seize it early. If the physician that gave you the clomid isn't monitoring you, then according to risk you ought to discover a distinctive physician. I had no situation clomid mutually as attempting to conceive. i could propose seeing an reproductive endocrinologist that makes a speciality of those style of problems. As for the clomid affecting your progesterone, i do no longer think it replaced into the clomid, however the facet outcomes of the Pcos. while i ultimately conceived by IVF, I had to be on progesterone pictures by way of fact with PCOS your physique does not produce adequate of it. merely loosen up slightly. i be attentive to the loss isn't effortless, I lost my infant at 22 week, yet i think of it is too early which you will make judgements approximately ever attempting returned. I too made those judgements precise once I lost my infant, yet now 7 months later i'm attempting returned.

before a dr. will prescribe them for u, i think they have to diagnose u as infertile. seeing u have one kid and u just got off the depo, i would give it time. infertile is defined as 1 year of trying for a baby with no success.

It is usual to wait a year, and not unusual to wait two or three. Nature needs to take its course, sometimes.
