My period is 8 days late, i know you guys aint mind readers and i need to take a test but i was just wondering how late i would need to be roughly to get a correct answer as i dont want to take one so soon if i will just get an incorrect answers
Any help would be appreciated

With most pregnancy tests, you are able to test of the first day of your missed period, however as everyone is different you should check after a week if your first test is negative as the hormone level should have changed by then. If you are still unsure, go along to the doctor and have him do a test for you. With some pregnancy tests the line which indicates a positive result can seen quite faint, this still means you are pregnant. Good Luck, hope you get the answer you want. x

Honestly, I took mine before I even missed my period because I just figured I was pregnant and I got a faint line but it was still "positive". I say you can take it as early as the first day you miss your period, so with you it should show positive immediately since you're 8 days late. By the way, I used the 99 cents ones, you don't have to pay alot for a test.

If your period is already 8 days late I would wait another 3-4 days before taking a test by then your hormones should be changed enough. Hope this helps:)

You dont even have to be late for a lot of the tests. I was only 1 day late when I took a test and it worked.

I took the test 10 days after I was late.

They have some tests now that can detect the HCG pregnancy hormone as soon as the 1st day of your missed period. You should be able to take one now and get correct results. Good Luck

You can take a test up to five days before your missed period but it works the best if you were atleast one day late.

have a look in the chemist and you should find tests that give an accurate reading from the day your period was due! or you could go and ask the doctor to do a free one as the chemist ones are quite expensive but if you are pregnant it is worth the money! good luck with everything if you are its fantastic being a mum!

There are many tests now that you can take even 5 days just before your period. A blood test is 100% and a prego is 99.9% . good luck xx

A test would show if you are pregnant now, you only have to be a few days late good luck
