you should really ask your mom on this. i dont think my first time was normal....i didnt bleed and it didnt hurt. it was wasnt until later that my "cherry" was popped. my first was not below average in size, he just didnt hit the right spot to pop it...lol. but you really should be talkin to your mom about this...you seem to be at that curious stage which probably means you are thinking of having sex....please talk to your mom before you do...i wish i had

Well you have what is called your Hymen
that is defined as: A membranous fold of tissue that partly or completely occludes the external vaginal orifice. when you have sex this membrane is torn (thus is why you bleed). this is called losing your virginity. the term is really just a term and is defined from person to person. it could be the act of any sexual activity(depending on your upbringing)
