Yes, but in the real world, Jill would assume her situation was worse than the man's, and she would flirt and maybe even flash a little skin, so Jack would think maybe he has a chance to get a little action in the future, so he would carry her water back down for her.
In other words, she would use her sexuality to manipulate him into doing her work for him.
Then later, she would complain to the boss who sent them to get water, that she was underpaid, because Jack (who worked there for 6 years more than she did, because she was off having those kids she so desperately wanted) was better paid than she was "for the same work".

go down hill is a lot easier then going up a hill. and who knows the size of the hill? and the ages or strengths ofthese kids/ teenagers even. this may be something they do often. plus maybe they took a break.
