Would you help ill children?
Would you buy a car?
Would you buy a house?
What would be the first thing you would do?

If I won a million dollars I would take alot of it and purchase wheelchairs, help ill children, etc.
Just curious as to what everyone would do.

Although a million isn't really a lot in today's world, I would divide the money.

Some to my church - we're building a new one
Some to my sorority - we need sorority house (I'm in the grad chapter so these are adult women)
My a new house for my family
Pay off bills
Donate money to research Cancer and Alzheimer’s
And send my sister on a killer vacation for all of things she's done for me and my dad.
Oh, I'd invest some so I'd have money to chill with.

That sounds great. I might go play the lottory right now! Ha.

I would become debt free. Pay off my house and then invest it in my business and funds for my children. A million dollars is not such a huge amount in this day and age. But it would definetly relieve some stress in my life. It would give me alot of extra time as well. Time that i wouldn't have to spend working. Time to study the bible with my children and time to go out in the ministry work.

I would contact a financial attorney and set something up so I could live on it the rest of my life, THEN see what I could do to help others. Approximately 50% of lottery winners out there end up in debt within 3 years because of poor money management- they give it to family and friends, buy expensive houses and cars without realizing maintanance costs ( property tax, insurance, etc.), indulge in luxuries, etc. because they are so overwhelmed by a huge windfall.

I think your first thought is very noble, and it would be cool if the whole world thought like that...but, reality is...most people are in need themselves so the first thought would be a selfish one. I admit...I would definitely take care of my needs and family first, THEN look to the needs of others. As to to your question..."what would be the first thing...?" I would probably fall on my backside with shock, joy and relief!

I would build a huge house and have nanny's and servants so homeless teenagers would have a place to call home when their home isn't safe for them.
