He clearly could've contested the election results. But did NOT. Why ? He cited unnecessary cost to the tax-payers and unnessary obstructionism to an election that was not going to be turned over in a re-count.

Can we see some of that HONOR on this site from the other side of the aisle ???

Does everybody extremely imagine that Allen knew that 'macaca' is a time period for monkeys it really is used as a slur in some eu international places? are you able to honestly say you've faith that? i don't believe of he knew that in any respect. He replaced into purely utilizing a toss-off humorous call to call this guy who replaced right into a political hitman for his opponent. As for calling us racist, it really is a base and malicious smear, and must be refuted by all respectable liberals. that variety of hateful personal attack is uncalled for.

George Allen should have demanded a recount. Instead the guy behaved with much class.

By MATTHEW BARAKAT, Associated Press Writer

Allen chose not to demand a recount after initial canvassing of the results failed to significantly alter Webb's lead.

"I do not wish to cause more litigation that would not alter the results," Allen said, adding that he saw "no good purpose being served by continuously and needlessly expending money and causing any more personal animosity."

Allen admits that he lost. big deal.

Actually he did it becuase upon waiting for more votes to be counted, he saw that he wasn't gaining any. If he was within a half of a percent, he could have and should have asked for a recount. In Al Gore's case, he got a majority of the popular vote, and he owed it to all of us to have a recount.

That was nice to see.

Honor from both sides is nice.
