Avoid the dealers, they charge like a wounded bull, find a Benz trained technician and he will give you the best prices, avoid genuine parts, there are heaps of importers that sell you parts of the same quality, i have worked for Mercedes for several years their costs are to high for what you receive in my opinion.

Depending on the model, they usually come in A or B service. You would definitely want to take it to a Benz Dealer. They have a checklist on what each service entails. In order to keep the warranty from being voided I would suggest taking to an authorized dealer or a mechanic that is familiar with the proper procedures. The services are more that just oil changes. And the oil needs to be synthetic. The service intervals vary by mileage. trust the instrument display to tell you when the car needs to be serviced. Maintain the car properly and it will last a long time plus the re-sale value is great.

It's not cheap, and if the car is still under guarantee it must be done at a dealer but if not then just as long as it is a good garage it should be ok. If not under guarantee why not get a manual and do it your self a lot cheaper.

Depends on the car $150 to $500. You can take the car to any shop, in the US, and as long as the service is done the warranty is good. Also even though MB says you can go 12,000 between oil changes I recommend he changes it more often. No longer than 6,000 if he wants to keep the car.
