Twins rarely go full term.

Not necessarily....one of my close friends had twins a couple of years ago and she delivered at 39 weeks. usually what happens is that 2 babies are a double strain to one's body, so many women develop high blood pressure (preclampsia) or gestational diabetes. The human body is made to handle one baby not 2, that is why some moms get complications when they have multiple pregnancies. If you get proper care and eat healthy, walk at least 3 times a week you'll be fine. Age is a big factor too. Have a happy pregnancy, talk to your dr about your concern and congratualtions on your duo!

Due to the limited size of the mother's womb, multiple pregnancies are much less likely to carry to full term than singleton births, with twin pregnancies usually lasting around 34 to 36 weeks. Since premature births can have health consequences for the babies, twin births are often handled with special precautions.

Sort of. Full term for twins is generally 38 weeks, where for a single child it's 40. So the average is about 2 weeks earlier, which is usually totally normal and healthy :)

Most likeley it will be early. My firend had twins when they were 4 pounds each. They are perfectly health and 1 1/2 years now!

There are some cases where they are carried full term, but not as common as being born early.

Good luck & congrats!

It's more common with twins or other multiples. Mommy's uterus can only expand so far so they get cramped and can become stressed. But it's usually nothing too soon or too much to worry about, around 8 months. Just be sure to follow the doctor's orders. Best of luck and God bless!

Some times.Remember that two are sharing the space made just big enough for one.
I know mothers of twins that went ten week early [ me ]- the kids are fine, and mothers who went past the due date and had two big babies- 7lbs + each.

It can, but a healthy woman can easily carry full-sized healthy babies to term.

Doctors have only decided that they know better than nature and that women are clearly too weak to carry twins to term even though many other animals who generally have one, carry twins to term when they have them.

Trust yourself and trust birth.

Usually about the 8th month. They will be a little small (5-6lbs) but fine.
