You have lots of options! First if you want a fast divorce consider the following website http://www.nevadadivorce.net/easy_travel_divorce.html\
The Domincan Republican and Las Vegas are famous for their quickie divorces done with ease.
But your church might be your best friend in this situation as odd as this sounds, because they can help you get an annuhlment. Talk with a clergy person about what that would require.
Have you thought about trying to find the guy? It is probably not that hard, surely you have information for his family and friends. Track him down and have him sign the paper work. The tricky part in all of this, and a really good reason to have an attorney is that he may be entitled to half of everything you own since you are still legally married, the upswing is that you are probably entitled to half of all he owns to....which brings me to an easy way to find him....pull your credit report, because his stuff might still be showing up and that would give you a good indicator of where he is at.

I just went thru the exact same thing. Find a lawyer, pay the lawyer mine was 2500 $ retainer, its all worth it I filed in April this year and I have to go to court in a few weeks so the judge can sign the divorce decree. Its just alot of paper work and filing motions. OH and its a law you have to attend a parenting class if you got kids. 40 dollar class. You can do this without him. Good luck.

Hello sweety. First thing you must do is to check the laws of your state as far as divorce and marriage. As far as i know you decide when to get divorced. With this I'm saying that you don't have to have the approval of your hubby to get divorced. This is USA. Now, check the laws of your state to properly follow the steps to get you divorced.
The quickest divorce is the "Uncontested Divorce" which works ONLY if both spouses are agree on EVERYTHING (Money, children, alimony, etc). Depending on your state it takes from 3 to 6 months to get divorced this way.
Good luck!

In Illinois you can file for divorce through 'publication'. I am pretty sure this is standard nation wide. Consult your local Bar Association or any 'pro bono' organization for the best advice.
Good luck.

Go to the county court house for free advice and they can point you in the right direction, also you can pay 30 online for a background check using his name and of social security#
You can even do it for free and see if there are any results. initially.
But definately get some free legal advice from the state.
Good luck

Oh boy, I don't know how to answer this one. I think you should consult with legal counsel. The courthouses usually have a legal aide that you can consult with for free. Good luck and congrats on your engagement.

I don't know how quick it will be, but file anyway. It should only take between 30 and 60 days to wrap it up.
