I often read the questions and answers in Yahoo and enjoy reading other people's opinions on different subjects. However, there are always a few ___holes who just have to submit a negative answer. People are looking for helpful suggestions and don't want to waste their time on these grumpy people's miserable comments. Why can't people be helpful and offer nice suggestioms? Those people must be so miserable that they are tyring to make everyone else miserable along with them. Any comments on this subject?

You are probably reading younger people who think they are in the school lunch room waiting to see if their friends will laugh when they trip the school geek. And, I suppose there are some mature people out there that also believe it's funny to remark with negativity or what they think may be humorous.

Look, no matter what kind of answers you solicit, you are obviously an intelligent person. You seem to be able to spell and punctuate so, you should be able to spot the ignorant remarks and move on.

There is some line of thought that says; if you give them attention they must be making an impact. I'm sure that's what they want.

Yes. There are many sincere people on Yahoo questions and answers. There are also some extremely negative people. I have ran into a few which cause me to hesitate to even ask a question. All one can do is to report them. The old saying goes, "There is one in every crowd". I am sorry for your experience.

I must admit while I try to help people here, often the oppurtunity for a witty or sarcastic answer is too overwhelming. Of course some people are just happy to get 2 points so they don't care what they write. And some people are just mean and self centered, just like the world around us.

its one of lifes little joys. there are constructive people and there are destructive people. there are happy people and there are miserable people. optimists and pessimists. tolerant and intollerant. if people only existed on the negative side then they would kill themselves off. if people only existed on the positive side then it might get boring and you would take everything for granted. maybe. mostly i think life is about balance. the world is 1/2 dark and 1/2 light at any given time because we rotate around the sun to achieve balance. we wobble a little bit but we still survive. wow what a brilliant metaphor.

These people are representative of the world...Just like in chat on the Internet....you have a ton of nice people, friendly, like able...& then you get a couple of buttheads that have nothing better to do than harass people. I just mute them.
