The cheapest flights at present are Ryanair from Stansted. Which is lucky for you as Stansted is the easiest airport for you to get to. The quickest way is to take the Stansted Express train to Tottenham Hale and then wait there for the a Stoke Newington train. or you could take the Terravision Coach to Liverpool Street and then a train back up to Stoke Newington. This will be longer, but cheaper.

Stanstead Airport. Get the Stanstead Express to Liverpool Street making sure that it stops at Tottenham Hale Station. Alight at Tottenham Hale and catch a bus to Stoke Newington. Alternatively, travel all the way to Liverpool Street and get a train to Stoke Newington. Gatwick and Heathrow may involve a longer journey.

If you don't have a problem with cost, fly to Heathrow and the public transport is better to get across London. If you are budget conscious then you will probably get better air fares to Stanstead then get the train down from Stanstead airport.

The closest airport is actually London City Airport in Docklands, near Silvertown.

Of the three you mention, Stansted is the closest, but Heathrow might be easier to reach.

For Stansted, you need to get to Liverpool Street main line station and take the Stansted Express.

For Heathrow, get a District Line train from Mile End Station to Hammersmith. Here change to the Piccadilly Line - its the other side of the same platform

Heathrow is definately the easiest to get into central London from. SN is NE so Stanstead might be slightly closer technically however.

probably stanstead, but transportation from heathrow is easier and cheaper, it is one train, the piccadilly line and it costs roughly 4 pounds while from stanstead you will have to transfer trains and it might cost you about 25 pounds, including the taxi

From Stokie, to get to Heathrow on tube you have to get a bus to Wood Green. By car Stansted is the quickest but, by transport is the longest and most difficult, i should know, i live there! Or you could go from Luton Airport, same distance as Stansted but, again most diff to get to on Transport. Heathrow is the easiest on transport.

Which London Airport you fly into relies upon incredibly on the airline. while you're flying with between the long haul airlines alongside with BA, Virgin, BMI, Air France, and so on, then you definately will likely fly into London Heathrow. There are some long haul airlines that makes use of Gatewick and/or city Airport besides. If that's a short haul flight and you % to fly with between the value variety airlines alongside with Wizz Air, Easyjet, Ryanair and so on, then you definately will maximum like fly into the two London Stansted, London Luton or Gatwick. in case you fly with Wizz Air, they simply have flights into London Luton with isn't any doubt certainly one of the closest to North london. in case you fly with Ryanair then maximum of their flights are to/from London Stansted that's form of North East London. in case you fly with easyjet then relying on the place you're flying from will relies upon on climate you land at Gatwick, Luton or Stansted. in case you land at the two Luton or Stansted then you definately could have solid coach centers with stops in North London
