No theres really not. This actually happend to me 2 1/2 years ago, and red cross was there and in the paper they said that they helped but they didnt help me thats for sure. The best help that i can say we recieved was from apartment finders. They found us some apartments that would work for us all we had to do was go and look. But theres really no help. BUT i have renters insurance now its only $12 a month and its really worth it.

Your landlord's insurance may cover some of your losses. I believe most things would not be covered, but it is worth investigating.
