In my experience Paypal says the money transfer is completed when the money is assured to be transfered, not when the money has actually been transfered.
I have recently paid some people by paypal, and while in paypal looked at some transactions, payments I have made today, they all say completed, but I know from my bank statements it takes several days for the money to leave my account.
Until I had a problem with paypal, I always thought I was in fact instantly paying people.
Your bank statement, especially if you have it on line, is the true guide to when the money arrives, but don't worry, I'm sure it will arrive, take note of the original 5-7 days as your guide.

If your listening to the automated mail. its very likely that its going to say pending. I'm with AmSouth and it does it all the time.. Call and speak with an actual person and she/he will check it for you. same thing happen to me transfering $87 dollars from paypal to my bank account, said pending for quite a while.. Paypal has so many accounts to do money to. that it takes a while, and the bank has to process it.
*NOTE* paypal will send email istantly saying that the money has been sent and _____ has received it. Thats not true. What it really means is ;
Paypal has recorded your withdrawal.
It will be taken from your bank the Next working Day
Once it has been, It will be put into PayPal data base.
Then it will record withdraw of $___ amount.
Which will then be transfered into _____'s bank account.
And since paypal is SO often used with eBay, PayPay says, that the money has been received and so on, so the seller will ship out the item sooner, and buyer will recieve item sooner.

Call you bank. They may have a hold. There may also be a delay in their processing time, so that it doesn't post right away. If you haven't seen anything in another day, contact both the bank and PayPal, there may be an error in the routing codes.
