Each person that survived the holocaust and went on to make a positive contribution to society is a triumph. If you do a search on holocaust survivor, you should get some examples.

do the triumphs have to be from right then? Maybe you could check into all the art and literature that was stolen where the history and culture was thought lost and has been found and in some cases returned to the families?

There is a perfect gem of a story concerning the tiny village of Le Chambon sur Lignon, situated in the mountains of southeastern France. Led by the village minister and his wife, the villagers, at considerable danger to themselves, managed to hide between 3,000 and 5,000 Jews. Not a lot, perhaps, compared with the six million who died, but in a sea of evil, this small village stands like an island of humanity. If you're looking for an inspiring story, one which hasn't gotten a lot of publicity, this is a good one.

I have included a couple of links below to sites with more information.

Did you see the movie "Schindler's List"? It has a happy ending, at least for the Jewish people. It's based on a true story. Basically the guy is a german national, and buys Jewish people as slaves for his factory, but he buys entire families so they can stay together. He treats them well and they don't get sent to the concentration camps.
