98 Acura Integra, Engine makes noise when going from 20-30mph...also wierd noise when put in reverse....used make noise like remote control car..now squeels...is this my transmission and if it is does it sound like something major or quick fix..trying to figure out costs as well for repairs..thanks!

Could very well be a motor mount. The squeal is probably a belt. The best way to test the transmission is to park front of the car facing down a hill and reverse up the hill. If the car has difficulty, the transmission is on it's way out. Reverse is normally the first gear to go. Noise between 20-30 mph could also be a wheel bearing. It's really hard to diagnose cars over the internet.

Sounds like a motor mount to me.

Hondas have a wish bone motor mount that goes bad often

Hold brakes put in gear both drive and Rev
see how much engine moves.

if there is smoke with the noise then the caliper is caught, if the rotor become warped and you place new pads it would reason that noise. might desire to replace the rotor. make certain you place pads in wisely.
