Sinn Fein have been given the go-ahead by USA to restart financial contributions to aid thier political campaigns.

Do other Northern Ireland political parties receive such U.S. funding for thier political campaigns?

Why can't such financial aid for political campaigns here in Northern Ireland be "put in the single pot" and divided equally between all political parties?

If the funds are indeed for genuine political campaigning in Northern Ireland, and allowing for such a great Irish/American community there in USA, by making sure all contributions are put into the single pot for all would reduce the chances of U.S. funding campaigns being cancelled and stopped by the authorities?

People are free to contribute to whomever they want as long as they're not on the State Dept terrorist list.

I truthfully do not see what the difficulty is. So what if Obama would not take public money? i don't ideas. i might extremely see the money circulate to a minimum of something greater significant issues and places that want money, like, oh... i don't understand, the flooded components of Iowa? as nicely, Obama desires the greater money to defend himself so as to wrestle the Republican "conflict-gadget." What do I recommend with the help of "conflict -gadget?" undergo in ideas the 2004 election with the quick Boat Veterans advertisements? They attacked Kerry's service record in Vietnam. even even with the undeniable fact that they weren't quickly tied to any candidate or occasion, their assaults did countless harm. Kerry additionally confronted grievance from Bush who reported he become a "turn-flopper," that he become out of touch with mainstream usa, and that he become not worth to handbook the rustic. (Now why does THAT sound often happening...). the factor is, the argument that that is "unfair" for Obama to apply raised money while in comparison with McCain's set money would not carry weight. it would be unfair if it become merely Obama vs. McCain, yet there ARE different communities that purchase advert time to attack the applicants. I merely think of the media desires to sensationalize any and all events with the election, through fact's what they do.
