If you are on public lands or public property they can get your for public intoxication.

A horse is considered a "living vehicle" under federal statues and thus you can be charged for "DUI" while on a horse, but state laws may not recognize that. You could get charged for other things like reckless endangerment and others.

Under normal circumstances, they normally just take the body of the person who died under the horse's hooves to the morgue and say the death was from an accident while in an impaired state. They dont usually pull someone over alive - its usually after the fact when they are dead that they do something with the horse.

Golf carts, tractors, motorcycles, lawnmowers...those are all MOTOR VEHICLES. No, you can't get a DUI on a horse. You can, however, get a criminal negligence or a reckless endangerment charge, and both of those have the potential to be far more serious than a DUI.

You do not get a DUI but you can be charged with reckless endangerment if you are on a public highway. I know I was charged with this two years ago on my way home from a trail ride. I blew a .10.

Yes, cars, boats, horses etc. As someone before me stated, even a lawn tractor ! I remember seeing video of a lawn tractor incident, most exciting slow speed pursuit I ever saw. D.U.I.'S don't sound like much fun. Skip the horse, do the right thing and get a cab.
