Because they want a new stadium which includes a massive parking garage that will cost between $600 - $800 million. Santa Clara is willing to negotiate with the 49'ers, but don't worry if they do move they will change the name San Fransisco 49'ers, anyway it is not that far south from their current location.

properly, in case you seem on the group style, it somewhat is "SF". they're going to nonetheless be the San Francisco 49ers. yet, if the Giants, and Jets, ever "get truthful", it is a reason to re-examine. those bozos are not EVEN of their STATE, no longer to point their city!!! I think its a inspirational move so they can get some motivation for the next season. Or maybe they just want to get away from the field that has held so many niner loses.
