I don't really know the name of the movie either but all I know is that he's got this stone cold expression of love on his face and he's standing outside someone's window and the song really speaks for itself! I think Demi moore is acting in the same movie too!

The movie you are referring to is "Say Anything" with John Cusack, Ione Skye and Lili Taylor (Demi Moore was not in the movie). After getting dumped by his girlfriend, the main character, Lloyd, stands on her front lawn playing "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel on his boombox.

Say Anything. The song is definately by Peter Gabriel...In Your Eyes. Fairly early film for both John and Demi. Pretty good film though.
