why should a player of his skill lose any reputation simply because an idiot like Mason takes a swing or even connects. His reputation is intact as Masons is also!!!!!!Not retaliating probably enhances Fieldens reputation.

Apart from the fact that Mason broke his nose, no doubt the main thing that has knocked the stuffing out of Stuart Fielden was the death of his mother only a month ago. Under normal circumstances, Fielden would have been the first to get up and thumped him straight back.

One of our favourite sayings is "Don't F*ck with Fielden!"

He'll be back!

Fielden hasnt lost that much really, Hes gained the reputation of not being able to take a punch ( It was a good one, might I add).
I think his form has dipped a bit in the last few years and hes definatley not playing to his full potential.

I think that Stuart Fielden has gained in reputation after not retaliating, getting up off the floor and continuing to play hard and fair.

no he hasn't if anything, Wille Mason has lost reputaion for hitting him, Fielden didn't even do anythign to provoke it I may not like Wigan players much (considering I'm a St Helens supporter), but when it comes to the Great Britain Rugby League, the players are united and stand up for each other!

well he did go down like a sack of poo but then so would most people and he did go on to play most of the game with a broken nose - the rematch (hopefully) in the final should be interesting
