CT is the abreviation for carat which is a measure of gem weight. A 14k ring may contain a 4ct amethyst.
CTW means total gem weight. This is often used for tennis bracelets and cluster rings.

CTW - carat total weight - usually indicates that there are multiple stones, and their weights are added together. Carat weight usually means one stone, and will be more expensive.
