Why do all the new toaster ovens have dials?

My parents want a simple black and decker toaster oven like they used to be - no with the dials... they hate them. Why do all of them have dials now???

You need to look harder. not all have dials I would not get a black and decker they are now made by general electric

Natsuya, I almost went past your question and realized we have a Faberware Toaster Oven down stairs, I went to have a look at it (it's in the down stairs cellar), and that has a temperature control settings.
