Actually, search engine positioning experts note that the meta tag is pretty much useless in web sites of today. Meta tags are supported by only one search engine, Inktomi.
Some tips:
1. Continue to research keywords that will help you find a niche market on search engines.
2. Weave the keywords into the copy of your site, using all the positioning tricks of your targeted search engines.
3. Invest in creating good page titles, instead.
4. Have other sites link to you. The more links there are, the more relevant your site becomes.
5. Submit your site to engines for indexing.
6. Continue to use metatags, but realize that they alone will not help your ranking efforts.
By the way, I think it's funny how players get cursed after being on the cover. Have you found this to be true with other sports, such as NBA Live? I like how your site brings up each player's stats when you click them. Very cool.

try using meta tags in your html code. also, when sites are indexed, only the big ones are spidered frequently. your site, depending on the traffic, might take a few weeks to get updated search results.
also, make sure as you write content in your site you include many keywords so the spider can log them. write "madden curse" a couple times in your articles or on the site.
back to the meta tags... heres a link
