I've heard some people say that the reason that some people are funny/comical/goofy is because they are covering up for the hurt they have inside. I guess these people would say that they're putting up a front so they would'nt appear sad. What do you guys think about this?

It can be. I think that depends on the person, but phsychologically if someone is always goofy or comical they are most likely covering something up. If it is just some of the time then they may just have an outgoing type of personality.

Can be true, it's an easy way of covering up and making everyone else happy and not wondering about the person or their problems. Or, could just be their personality, which I would much rather see than someone making me depressed all the time.

In some cases that could be true. Definitely believe it. Because I know someone like that.
