First of all how old are u? You also have to ask yourself how have your parents handled big changes you have made in the past. I'm sure that even if your parents get upset at the fact that you guys are pregnant they will come around and realise they have been blessed with a grand child and eventually welcome your boyfriend as there own. They would also respect him for being man enough to tell them face to face and with you. That shows them that he cares about you, the baby, and them. As for your boyfriend he has to realise that all else put aside he will have a child to take care of and he's confronting "the mother of his child's parents." (its like trying to get along with in-laws you do what you can to make them see your a good person.) He needs to show all that he can to your parents that he will take care of there child(you) and his child. By him not being there when you tell them that you are pregnant; it will show irresponsibility and cowardliness. No matter what age you are you always have to think about the future and what will be affected by your actions today.

Well you didnt get pregnant on your own, so they are going to wonder who it is by. You should tell your parents, while your boyfriend is in the room. You need to be mature about this situation, your are about to produce a child, so this is practice on being an ADULT. Good Luck!

oh man. why did you get yourself into this situation? Couldn't you practice self control? I mean at your age (how old are you? 16? 19?) Even at 19, I was more worried about my future and the way my parents say they would kick me out if I got knocked up and then you go about doing this? What are you? Crazy?!!! If I had the same strict parents as you, I wouldn't tell them anything as I'd be too afraid. I'm alot older now and can see why they wanted me to wait.

If you still live with your parents, that would be one good reason to wait on sex.

My parents didn't kill my boyfriend. He is actually my hubby now. Just tell the truth and don't worry. They will be disappointed in the beginning but then fine. I promise. Good luck.

For those of you saying they should unite to show the parents they are responsible. It is tough to prove you are responsible while you are telling your parents you're pregnant (irresponsibility).

I understand mistakes happen, and your parents probably do, but I seriously doubt they will want to have to confront your bf while first hearing of this.

I think that depends. Do you parents like your boyfriend? If they do and he's already like a son to them it might be good to tell them together. They will respect him because it will show that he is supporting you. But if they already don't like him it would probably be best to tell them on your own.

I think that you should tell them, if they love you and can accept it thats great... if they freak out at first, it is okay, and they WILL probably get used to the idea later.... I told my parents, and they got used to it after a couple weeks...

Better than what? Not telling them and letting them find out from someone else? Yes. If you did it, own up to it, be mature, and move on from there.

Yes I think its better...then they will know that he is there to support you and that he's not gonna just leave ya...they wont kill him..they may just be very upset for awhile...but ya know what? Once they see they're little grandbaby's face..nothing else will matter except for that little baby...
