Well keep being friends, and it will all work out you could start by tell this friend how you feel, and you can work on your problem together. Apparently you do not have that great of feeling for your boyfriend, i think it is good thing he is just a boyfriend, and not a husband because divorce's are not good but there are so many because people marry the wrong people.

what do you mean he is in a lot of trouble? If the trouble affects you, dump him now before it is too late, and go get the other guy. Its not like you are married, he is just a boyfriend.

Girl dump your boyfriend that is in a lot of trouble and run off with your guy friend. I had a guy friend that I let get away. I would give anything to run into him now. Don't let him get away ;)

Well what kind of trouble is your boyfriend in and are you willing to stick it through with him? Male friendships are hard to maintain when feelings change, and you really wouldnt want to do anything to put that friendship in harms way. How does your friend feel about you? Would he want to pursue a relationship with you? These are things you need to ask yourself before making any kind of move because it could leave you friendless and boyfriendless. Good Luck.

So if your current boyfriend is trouble, and your long time friend is sweet, Get rid of the current guy and if your friend dosen't like you like that at least you'll still have a friend to help you get through the break up.

Why is your bf in a lot of trouble, that;'s not very clear.
But besides that:would you like to be cheated?
I guess not:so don't start to do that yourself.
Break up before you start a new relationship.
See the logic yourself?
Wish you all the best.

Fundamentally, there are two questions: Do you think you "owe"
your current boyfriend anything?
Does your continuing to be with your boyfriend really help him
at all? That is, will sticking around not help him but just make you
feel less bad?
Guilt is a lousy basis for a relationship.
