I obviously wouldn't have any water with me in cups or containers. So I would pee up the flagpole. Hopefully high enough for the ice to melt and release my tounge.
Then rinse my mouth, big time.

my friend got hers stuck on our metal fence when we were like 8 years old one winter and she did the worst possible thing- she ripped it off. her whole tongue started bleeding. we couldactually see some of her tast buds on the fence. it was so gross. i am not sure exactly what you are suppose to do, but i am almost positive that you aren't suppose to use water at all- because if the temperature is low enough- it will just refreeze.

Well, first of all, DON'T do it in the first place, since flagpoles are gross....But if you INSIST on trying it and you get stuck, pour warm water on it (have someone do it for you, of course!)

Hopfully someone is around, and if so ask them to get some hot water to pour on the area to warm up the steel, your tongue will come right off. Don't pull on it let it come off on it's oun. If there is no one around warm up the steel with your breath, it takes longer but still works.

Supposed to run warm water over it, but most people rip it off of there like a fool.

You scream. And then when someone comes tell them to put warm water on it. It should come off easily after that.

Don't tug at it, because you can peel your tongue right off.

You breathe on the ice and use your hands (which hopefully have mittens on them) to warm the ice around your tongue until it loosens enough to free yourself.
