If not, how can I go about getting one on my own. I know there are requirements that must be met to qualify and I do. I just don't know how to get the proceedings started.

Well you have to file a Petition. I just finished doing my own divorce, and yes for an annulment there are certain requirements.

I did my divorce in California and this is where I got all the info I needed:

you have to go to the county recorders office where your marriage is registered and tell lthem you want an annulment. if you've been married 30days or less, they will grant you one with both party signatures. if it's more, you may or may not have to file for divorce depending on the reason of why you don't want to be married anymore and why you wanted to get married in the first place and if somehow you or he was forced into it, then you'll have to show proof. good luck hope this helps.

A dissolution of marriage can be ordered through most court houses if you file for one. Go to the clerk of court office and see what the requirements are.
