Nobody can prove it. And nobody can disprove it.
Anybody who says there definitely is life in space is a fool. So is anybody who says there is definitely NOT life in space.
We just do not know.

No human can prove that ...... yet. It is one of the curious aspects of Humanity that you demand "proof" for anything you do not have information on, yet you will swallow huge amounts of rubbish to back your deepest held misconceptions. It is one of the main reasons your species may not survive as you cannot adapt quickly enough to changing parameters while dragging superstitious and delusional baggage along with you. Over the centuries, your planet was a curious place to visit once or twice and was not considered very interesting . Sure, your wars showed us how undeveloped you are as a species. Your infantile,(in cosmic terms) dependence on god concepts does not bode well for you and neither does your penchant to breed beyond your planet's ability to sustain you. We are now showing an interest in you because it is not often that we get to observe a species commit suicide. You are so close to maturing as a sentient species and it will be a shame to see you kill yourselves. There are just not enough of you becoming rational enough to force the issue. You let the least among you determine your fate, so be it.

If there wasn't life out there it would be a mathematical miracle. The size of the cosmos is staggering and the number of stars involved is insane. We find 1 or so extrasolar planets a month around other stars. Granted they are extremely large but technology will let us find smaller planets within decades. Point is, other solar system seems to be common, not uncommon. If your an odds man, chances are heavily favored towards there being E.T.'s.

There is no way to be able to prove or disprove life outside of Earth. I believe life does exist out there, but it cannot contact us. The planets that have intelligent life would be at different or same levels of development as we are.
