Good Point. I think it is just because they care about their liberal agenda. They truly don't care about anything else. That's just my opinion.

You mean gun owner rights, right?
I am guess the ACLU does not have interest in protecting gun owner's rights (unless they were illegal aliens or terrorists)
But its okay. There is the NRA (National Rifle Association) that spends lots of time and money protecting the rights of people to own most kinds of guns, pistols and shotguns, not just rifles.
The ACLU takes cases were they can MAKE $$$$!!
That's right, they sue on behalf of someone but collect the PUNITIVE DAMAGES!!!!
If Tort reform would cancel punitive damages, the ACLU could not exist they way they do now
Do not be confused, the ACLU is not directly interested in Free Speech or the USA or the pursuit of justice.
$$$$THE ACLU IS IN IT FOR THE MONEY$$$$
and when the ACLU sues your city or town for displaying a Christmas Nativity scene, they get a punitive damage, and YOU , TAXPAYER, are paying the ACLU instead of getting new cop cars or something useful!

The ACLU has defended gun rights several times in my state of Vermont from towns that wanted to impose anti-concealment laws. They were victorious in every case. You been listening too much to the republican propaganda machine which uses the ACLU as a scape goat when they try to pass patently unconstitutional laws and wonder why they get shot down. Other times the ACLU will fight gun rights when they clash with other constitutional rights. In such cases they have to choose one right over the other to defend.

Because the ACLU defends the rights of the general public as well as individuals! The public is better off without guns, too bad for the psychos who get a thrill out of killing things.

Actually, if you did your research, you would see many cases of defense on the 2nd Amendment. The ACLU believes in more freedom than say, oh , idont know, the neo cons in control
