Hey there! These pains do sound like period pains. I don't believe that they could be a belly ache so low down. Do yourself a favour, next time you get them if it is not at that time of the month then you need to do a manual test. Feel for your right and pelvic bone [hip bone]. Put two fingers next to it pointing down towards your thighs. Push in slowly and let them out really quickly. If this hurts like hell then you may have appendicitis. If not then yup just period pains. Oh and now you know how to test for appendicitis.
ALL THE BEST.
P.S Contrary to popular belief exercise is the best cure for period pains. Hot water bottles help a little but actually congeal the blood more afterward hence making the cramping worse. Your period cramp is purely you uterus lining peeling off. The pain is caused by the thick blood clots being pushed out. That is why the heavier your period is the more aches and pains you have. Exercising helps to pump your blood faster and get the clots moving it also helps with the muscle movement and spasming.
Just a little FYI.

Your "belly" or stomach is much higher so I would think you just have menstrual cramps. The stomach is 5-6 inches above your belly button.

Ya it is- unless you're already on a regular period and your period's not due soon- take a midol and see if it helps- and try a hot pack- those help a ton- if none of that works, tell your mom or a doctor or something

I am not a Dr. but thats what it sounds like if you have had your period before thats probably it but if you havn't you should let someone know incase it is more serious. I would take some
IB profin and see if that helps.
