They can sometimes tell at 16 weeks but more likely you doctor will wait until you are 20 to 24 weeks to determine the sex of your baby. IT all depends on how the baby is positioned and if they cooperate and open their legs! LOL good luck and congrats!

Generally, and with baby's cooperation, an ultrasound can tell you the sex of your baby at 16 weeks gestation. Some babies are shy (like my fourth baby) and you may not know until the next ultrasound what the sex is.

My Obgyn says they can tell between 18 to 22 weeks depending on how the baby is lying etc.

Around 16 weeks is the earliest time possible. It makes a difference which way the baby is positioned cuz if they're turned you won't be able to tell anyway. Keep in mind the earlier you are, the easier it is to mistake the cord for a boy!!

I had an ultra sound at 16 weeks with my first daughter and at 18 weeks with my second daughter. they told me both times I had my ultrasound I was having a girl. So hopefully it will go the same for you. good luck and congradulations. Are you getting the 3d/4d ultrasound?

Your baby's genitals begin to develop around 14 weeks..therefore it is possible that you can start to tell if it's a boy or a girl around 15 weeks....however, it's the easiest more close to 18-20 weeks....hope this helps!!

I had to wait until about 20 weeks, the farther you are, the easier it is to tell. 4 months is only about 16 weeks, it might be a little difficult. They can try though. Good luck!

You'll get the ultrasound at your next checkup. Yes, TORTURE, I know!!!! I HATED waiting ! Oh, and just in case they forget to tell you like they did me, bring a VHS tape with you. Nowadays they record it onto video and let you take it home! My husband and I still enjoy watching our ultrasound that determined our daughter's gender. She's 14 months now. Congrats!

Having his photographs isn't at risk of be a reason or possibly a contributing element. Is he feeding properly and getting adequate fluids? no longer each and every baby poops on a daily basis. If it is unusual for him attempt giving him some toddler apple juice or different fruit juice. If there remains no result see your wellness professional for further advice.

Around 20 weeks is when most books say you can determine the sex of the child.
