You are amazing and I'm sure that you are much appreciated! I work a 50+ hour week and still manage to have dinner on the table for my hubby everynight, desserts are special occasion though! I too know a lot of women who can't cook. They are married women with children and they can't even feed their family cause it is an inconvience to them!

I don't claim to be Mrs. Cleaver, but I do my best to cook for them on a regular basis. I can't say we don't give in to fast food or pizza here and there. I don't cook over the top meals every night, and we limit dessert to once a week. The idea of cooking at home is partly to eat healthy (along with time spent together) and I think eating dessert every night throws that out the window.

I cook every night for my husband and kids. I hated cooking before I got married though. I hated to be in the kitchen period. But that was before I became a stay home mom. I really enjoy the "Betty Crocker" life now LOL. I do photography as a hobby and side money but most of my hours are spent on being a home maker. You're not crazy, your "old school".

I don't cook every single night. Then again, I am only 21, we aren't married, and we don't have kids. It's just the two of us. I do try to cook at least 3 or 4 nights a week and I am always trying to learn new things to make so I can cook more often.

I cook 5 nights a week. I take a break on the weekend when the kids are with their dad....but I will still cook breakfast and make lunch. If they think you are crazy for making dinner and dessert then they would think I was psychotic--I go home on my lunch hour everyday to make lunch for mine. And this usually means I don't eat or if I do I have to eat and run

I did, until I recently got pregnant, cooking makes me so sick, it has to be on one of my GOOD nights. But I used to cook 5 out of 7 nights per week for my husband and child. I now only cook about 3 nights per week, the sight of raw meat makes me throw up! BUt I will get back into my routine in a few weeks once im out of my 1st trimester.
I also cook a big breakfast on Sundays too!
I think its pretty normal
(by the way I have a full time job 40 hours per week, so im not a stay at home mom)

It's nice that you do that - you must have a lot of free time on your hands. I work 40 hrs. a week and coming home to then make dinner is ridiculous. My husband works night shifts so he's not there when I get home from work at 5. I don't like cooking and don't cook very well so it rarely happens. My hubby, on the otherhand, is a pastry chef and amazing in the kitchen.

I cook almost every night....Friday night is pizza night at our house.....sometimes my man gets dinner for the kids if he gets home before I do.....I am a very good cook, but he is actually a better cook. We both like to cook so this is a good thing. Sometimes on weekends we cook together something special....

I have cooked dinner 7 days a week for the last 30 years. Yes we go out to eat sometimes.I run a daycare so this is my day.
Wake a 4:30 (yes am) Breakfast for 7...lunch for 10...snack for 10... Dinner for me and hubby. snack for hubby. Get his lunch ready to take to work the next day. Fix coffee pot to turn on in the morning. At least 4 family dinners a year with an average of 50 people attending.
I wish I had never learned to cook. I just wish I didn't have to do the dishes and it would be fine.

I work full time and work out four nights a week, so I definitely don't cook every night. I cook about 2-4 times a week, the rest of the time we just pick something up.
