It all depends on your body mine was bigger becuase the baby was larger also your musels are not as strong to hold baby in place.

Overall, yes, its true. Since you have been pregnant before, your uterine muscles have been stretched. Your body has 'been there, done that'.

In second or later pregnancies, your bound to 'show' early than you did with your first pregnancy. Also, you will probably feel fetal movement sooner, since your body is more intuned with pregnancy.

Pregnancy symptoms may be stronger the second time around.

Another good thing about the second pregnancy is that you may go into labor soon. It is estimated that second pregnancies last about 38 weeks, where firsts last the 40 weeks, but this is just an estimate.

Babies from second pregnanies also seem to be larger than the first. This is mainly because since your uterine miscles have been stretched, there is more room for the baby to grow.

Good luck, congrats, and if you have any more questions let me know!

Your belly may not neccessarily get bigger but you will notice it sooner with a second pregnancy. Every pregnancy is unique. Enjoy the experience of your changing body again and try not to dwell on your size. Small bellies or large bellies give the same beautiful result!

Yes it is true that you may start showing earlier if you have already had a child. My ob said it was because my uterus has already been stretched. This is my 3rd child and I am 11 weeks along and get guessed at 4 to 5 months all the time.

For most women yes because the uterus is already naturally larger after the first child. I have also heard that the body knows immediatly what to do since is has gone through it before thus it begains to grow making room for the baby.

I'm not sure about that. It's possible because my OB told my that every subsequent child tends to weigh more than the previous child. So, it could. It may also seem that way because your body remembers the first pregnancy and seems to take the shape quicker causing you to be in maternity clothes much sooner!!

It was true for me! They tested me for twins with my second pregnancy because my belly got so big so fast.....then again everyone's different. With my first I wasn't in maternity clothes until my 6th month.....second pregnancy and I was out of my regular clothes by 10 weeks!

I was my biggest with my first. And smallest with my second. My third was somewhere in between.

I swear people say this stuff just to scare already hormonal pregnant women....

Congrats and well wishes for a healthy pregnancy!

Yes because the uterus is looser. What I mean is, that the first time, the uterus is small and has never been stretched. But the second time the uterus isn't as tight because it was stetched with a baby in it. So yes is the answer.

Yes it is typically true you will get larger with your second, becuase your muscles have already stretched once to accomodate a child.
