She kept on saying for 2 years that this kid she had after they broke up was my husbands, and kept calling him and messing us that she was going to file for child support. He finally came out and told her that it was fine that she was going to file for support but we were going to request DNA testing to make sure the kid was really his. Well she got pissed off and told us that she was just going to forget it, and when the kid asks where his dad is she's going to tell him that he didn't want him. Should we go ahead and do a court order for a paternity test anyway, and fight her anyway, even though she's decided to do nothing?

She refuses to give us her address, and we can't petition the paternity test without her legal address. How do we handle that? The only information we have on her is her Phone number and name. We don't know where she lives because she won't let us come over to see the child, and she only contacts us when she needs money. But since we wont give her anything until paternity is proven we, haven't seen her or the child in a year, and she has since then moved.

Yes I think you should go ahead and get the paternity test. My brother went through the same thing for nearly 5 years and it came out not being his baby. It seems to me that she doesn't know if it's his or not. Good luck.

A paternity test would lay to rest any questions. If you find out the child is your husbands then you have something to go on and maybe she will be quiet. But she will have connection with your husband just because they share a child. Either way you need to know

Yes, get the paternity test so that he will know for sure that will be less stress on you. If it's positive he should take responsibility and be a father which only will require him to see his child on weekends holidays and when the child needs him, and to pay child support. It will not require him to be involved with her. If he is the father the child needs him in his life.

A dna testing isn't cheap, if he's sure it's not his get a court order like a restraining order to have her cease and desist any and all activities on her part. Have an attorney draw up the guide lines to make sure she can't come back on you for this sometime in the future.

I find it disturbing that your hubby doesn't want to find out if this kid is his.

Yes, file with the court to have paternity determined.

Yes, he should just go ahead and do it so he can know. The baby might not be his but he should go ahead an make effort so he can know. If the baby is his then he know what he has to do. Hh might want to get the court involved if she is acting the way she is acting.

If you think that there is a chance that the child is your husbands then you both owe it to the child to find out. So what do you think you need to do?
