I only have a couple really close girlfriends, and they're girls that I have know a really long time. Most of my friends are guys. When I meet new girls, they are seem SO fake and SO annoying. Like I met this one girl, and turns out she only wanted be friends with me & hang out with me to get to one of my guy friends and sleep with him. Now I dont even talk to her because she got what she wanted. And it's not like we're in high school, we are in our mid-twenties. It's like, girls don't give a crap about bonding & making friendships that could possibly last a lifetime. All they care about is what THEY are gonna get out of it, do whatever will benefit them in the end. I wish I was closer with more girls, but they are all so stupid!!........or maybe it's me?? I don't know. I don't get it. But I Just moved to another state and I want to make some girlfriends down here. What in the heck is going on??

I feel you Gem. Most of my girlfriends disappear when they have boyfriends and then come back around when they get dumped. I really do think that all girls should have some girlfriends though to hang with and talk about guys and do girl stuff. I have found that most of my girlfriends I have met were in college and others by being involved in volunteer work or at Yoga class. Hey if you ever need email buddies though you know where to find us :)

As a matter of fact I don't, but it is always something I envy in others - I'd love to have really close girlfriends. Have friends from work, but not the type you mean. I don't gel that well with lots of women, as so many of them only seem to talk trash. I'm really feminine, so it's not that I prefer male company as I'm more male - do prefer some conversations I have with some guys though - some women don't seem to be able to have 'intelligent' conversations.

I had 2 best friends and they were my only girlfriends since my one and only friend Sarie in High School. Basically I hadn't been close friends with any other girls for like 8 years. Anyway, they were in my wedding party (major roles MOH & BM) and then after i came back from my honeymoon, they gave me this junk about needing time to themselves and then i found out that they were hanging out with eachother, talking about me behind my back and the only reason they were friends is b/c i introduced them to eachother. They didn't hardly pay or do anything as far as the wedding. Ispent so much money and time with and on them. I put the entire weddding together by myself. Then one day one of them called me screaming at the top of her lungs saying she hated me and hated hanging out with me. And I didn't know where any of this was coming from. I hadn't talked to them in weeks and had been trying and they were avoiding me. I just realized that they were "bitches" and decided...no more girl friends. all they do is stab you in the back and talk ****. I just stick with my other best friend who was the Best Man. He's like a brother to me. He never lies or talks **** about me or uses me or my husband. guys are just different i guess. But I know what you mean about girls being fake. you just have to turn away from them and keep looking elsewhere. It's nice to have girlfriends to chat up girl stuff with, but it's so hard to find someone who is genuine. I'll be your friend. email me if you want to talk. sorry this wasn't much of any advice, but at least you know you'renot alone.

Im personally just like you. But im in school. I personally think its okay to be "part of the guys" . Sometimes i just need to get away from all the drama these girls cause. Maybe thats how you are feeling too.

These girls just want dates, hook-ups and heartbreaks! It's so obvious. That'd be why I make better friends with guys and the girl friends that I do have I've known for 5 years or longer.
