Well, I don't think that's related to menopause, at least I've never had that experience. But you never know with hormones. I'd say it was more likely the fact that you lifted something, or bent over too long, or just slept in an awkward position. Welcome to old age, honey! It's not for sissies! Godloveya.

I don't think so. I am post menopausal and have back problems due to arthritis. In menopause you do loose a large amount of calcium therefore I would suggest that you have a bone density test. Regardless, it would let you know where you are and if you are loosing bone mass in the future. If you need to contact me personally for obvious reasons, please feel free to do so. I realize that this is a very personal situation and perhaps you have questions that you do not want on an open forum.

severe back pain can be caused by many things. I havent heard of menapause causing backpain, but old age and osteoporosis can. Also calcium diffiency can cause this. Back pain can be muscular also.
