My mom's stove has had the bisquit. Oven door doesn't stayed closed properly, one burner doesn't work. The stove is over 20 years old. Anyway we think it's time for a new one. Can anyone recommend a good brand, model? Good place to buy one from. Looking in Canada.

Thanks

Watch out for Whirpool Canada and their other lines. I fought with them for nearly 2 months to get a defective stove replaced (the oven wouldn't shut off!). It was the worst experience I've ever had with a company. I finally had to file a complaint with the BBB, CSA and even cc'd the consumer watchdog at CBC. Eventually, after ALOT of complaining, I got a full refund.

We replaced the faulty Whirlpool with a Frigidair. We are very happy with the product.

In hind-sight, we should have gone to Sears. They have an excellent no-hassle return policy and an excellent selection of appliances. You may pay a little more but the customer service and protection form the manufacturers is worth every penny!

PS: I filed an abuse complaint against "Cash Boy" Obviously, some imature moron playing on mommy & daddy's computer.

I've never had a problem with Sears/Kenmore products. They have a good warranty & a service department unlike Future Shop Or Bad Boy who contract their service work to independant servicemen.
