Anyone who is shocked by the results of the midterm election is quite isolated from reality. Certainly, Republicans are disappointed, yet this is also a normal swing of centrist American politics, and can easily be identified historically. Yet, the contribution of the liberal-biased media here and abroad would want you to believe that this was incredible upset. Absolutely, the Democrats are now on the line, and it gives great impetus to the 2008 election, in which we definitely will have a new president, as well as the opportunity to provide a review of all 435 House seats and 33 Senators....

I find it interesting that all of the Republican seats that were involved in some sort of scandal were turned over to the democrats, yet the democrats elected candidates that currently are under scrutiny for scandal (Menendez for US Senate from NJ, Blagojevich for Gov in IL, William Jefferson in LA (well, he's in a runoff, but he got more votes than any other candidate), etc.).

Dismay, possibly but I cannot believe they were really surprised. The feelings of a majority of citizens has been pretty apparent, especially their disillusion with the Bush administration policies.

Hell I'll be the first to admit I was shocked, as ANY OTHER AMERICAN who had any sense was, considering they were not expected to sweep like that (predicted all over that they would take the House but not the Senate). The gloating though, way to go. Further alienate your party from the Republicans and conservatives. If that is the way your Dems will act in Washington we're in for a ride...ugh

Ouch!
Boy, that was a good one. A real knife to the heart. And from the 'tolerant' liberals, no less.
Nicely done. And what a great way to reach out for reconciliation.

not at all. There was no "shock" involved. That was predicted, wasn't it? and, might I add, it was not landslide victory, so why would anyone be in awe? I am frustrated, yes. but none of those other things.
There were many MANY CLOSE *** races, please I wish you'd remember that.
