Some of you think this is just about money, not true.
she works at a spa as an esthatician and get most of her $ in cash and tips. but tells the courts she is not making enough to get buy... But she can afford to go on vacatin with her friends to Cabo, buy an newer car.
but when she hears that im earnig more $ she is right there ready to take me to court for more.
when i brought it up to the court that what she claims as income doesnt even equal aout to min wage. there response was well, that what she is caliming and that is what we have to go buy.
i would love to have my son 50/50 but she gets all the say so. so dont tell me all is fair in the eyes of the court.

There are specific formulas for child support in each state. You should be paying no more (and NO LESS) than the amount determined by the court.

This amount will be based on a)your income b) her income and c) the amount of days in a year you spend with your son.

Very basic. Hiding any income from this formula would be fraud, and could get you in a lot of trouble.

I would be more sympathetic if you were talking about alimony. But child support should NOT be negotiable.

Hey buddy I know your getting some crappy responses on here, mainly by greedy *** women who are sticking it to their baby daddy's and think it's ok. I am a mother and not with his dad and my current husband and I are going through the same thing with his sons mother. She is sticking it to him with child support. He works but didn't tell her he got a new job after he was laid off from the other. They based his child support off his unemploymeny which was only 1440 a month and they awarded her $400 a month! On top of that she moved across the country and won't let him see him. He is getting screwed but a lot of women think thats what you guys get for having kids. No person deserves that though. Its a crappy deal. I believe you can hide your income that way though. Why didn't you ask for joint custody? That is real big with many states these days. You could have your kids half the time and not be obligated to pay support at all. Thats what my ex did, even though I never asked for money. We switch our son off every other week. He has a week and then I have a week. He takes care of his needs when he is with him and I do the same when he is with me. No one pays anyone anything. And the judge is the one who ordered it to be that way. You can go get joint custody of your kids and if she won't comply with court order to let you see them she can go to jail. You men have to fight to not get robbed by these greedy chicks. Get your kids and get it on paper and stop this child support. I swear I wish I could start an advocate group for good fathers and greedy mothers. I would get these damn child support laws changed. It's a damn shame. Good luck honey!

I have 2 children from my last relationship and at first i was paying out the a**. But i have started my own sole proprietorship and i will just say that not all has to be reported. Now don't get me wrong raising kids is not cheap so do what is right and give her what is fair for both not just what is fair for you!

most states will limit the frequency of child support adjustments. if your raises are relatively small, < 5%, then it should be once per year, at the most. if, however, you are getting 10-20% increases in your pay, expect, justifiably, to get called in for an adjustment.

question: how is your ex finding out about your raises? you don't have to tell her, as I'm sure SHE isn't telling YOU about HER raises. Take her in for an adjustment the next time she gets a raise, as her income affects the amount you pay for child support.

That is why it is important to make sure you know who you are involved with,. cause see every female is not the same. My daughter is now 18 yrs old and I have never forced that issured. I feel that no one should have to make a man or woman take care of someone that is apart of them. If for some reason that they don't, then so be it. Let the lord take care of them, and keep your mind at peace! Continue to take care of your child and let nothing come between that!

Unfortunately you are in a very bad position. Hiding your money will only lead her to hate you even more and could possibly have her restrict your visitations with your son even more. Court systems are set up to make women feel likes victims and it helps them get as much as they can. Really I do feel sorry for you but you just have to suck it up and not make that mistake again.

"Hiding" behind a company or corporation is called fraud. You should take her back to court and demand more time with the child. The more time spent with the child the less child support you pay.

Evenutually the lie will be found out and you will be held accountable for it.

You better get a good attorney, get on line get a copy of the federal guidelines for child support. You will need to do the attorney's work for him or her. CSEA has raped men but they leave the women alone. The system is sexist. Trust me I am in the same boat.
