Is being a fussy eater a sign of higher or lower intelligence? I heard something about this but didn't catch the whole story.

Thanks

Fussy eating is a compulsive like disorder thing. Not liking meat for where it comes from is not fussy.

Think how people are even if they like ketchup on something if it touches another part of the meal they won't eat it now that is fussy.

There is no coillation to it.

kids with higher IQs tend to be fussy eaters because they can comprehend where the food comes from.
As soon as my kid was old enough to know that the meat she was eating used to be in a live animal she decided ( at the age of two years ) to be a veggitarian and she still is to this day at age 8 1/2.
it can be very difficult to work with her on this with soy and tofu, but you know, shes got principles, and i respect that.
so do your best to ensure they get enough protien and nutrients and you should do fine.
Plus, one thing that works well is to get your kid (a ge appropriately of course) to assist in dinner prep. My kid loved helping me wash veggies and stuff and still does. she also helps add this and that and stir things on the stove with my supervision.
Use your imagination and common sense and you and your fussy eater will do just fine
( ps my kid was tested and was found to be proufoundly gifted at the age of 20 months so maybe that fussy eater with high IQ idea has something to it)

I haven't ever heard anything about this. I'm a picky eater and I did well in school... but really I've never heard of this in any kind of scientific study.

I doubt it means anything either way. I was very picky as a child, but I don't think it at all reflected my intellectual ability. It's probably just an old wives' tale.

I don't see a correlation either way.
