Is sex-linked. Sex linkage by definition involves all traits located on the sex chromosomes. Sex linkage doesn't mean that only males can be colour-blind, but it means that the sex of a child influences its chance to have that trait.

(BTW "the" allele for colour blindness is crap... a normal human actually has 3 colour vision genes, two of these - "red" and "green" - on the X chromosome; meaning several types of colour blindness. A red or green can simply be left out when X chromosomes exchange DNA in egg cell formation, or you can have defective versions of either gene. As the third gene, that which codes for the blue receptor pigment, is located on another chromosome, there exists non-sex-linked colour blindness as well.)

The allele for colourblindness can be inherited because any gene which is located on any of the sex chromosomes can be inherited.Colourblindness occurs in children and adults. It is sex linked because again it occurs on one of the sex chromosomes.

is sexlinked...If I remember correctly....men have clinical signs more than women becuase they get the x that carries it and the y doesn't override it...females have another x, one without the allele that can make them carriers, but not express it by "having colorblindness..."for a female to actually be colorblind she would have to have the allele on both her x chromosomes?

is sex-linked
of course it can also happen in females (less frequently), but you usually say a disease is sex-linked when it occurs in any of the sex chromosomes, X or Y.
