I'd go with the soundtracks of "Almost Famous" and "Garden State". Both feature great artists, in the genres of classic and current rock (Simon & Garfunkel, Lynyrd Skynard, Allman Brothers, The Shins, Coldplay, Nick Drake, etc.)

The Queen of the Damned.
I thought that the movie itself was terrible because it barely follows the book, but Jonathan Davis is awesome.
