If wer're going by that logic then George H.W. Bush is at fault for Clinton's failures.

looking back on the Bush administration, I on no account heard Bush come out and blame Clinton for something. possibly some Republicans did, yet not the President himself. on the different hand, that whining clown interior the Oval workplace blames all and sundry. he's the situation type for destructive management. A pathetic incompetent who thought he ought to woo us with extraordinary speeches every time he wasn't fiddling jointly as Rome burns. Republicons? How trite!

This is certainly typical. The old phrase "the buck stops here" used to be applied to all Presidents. Passing the buck of blame onto your predecessor is a sign of weakness and not at all constructive to solving problems. Bush would certainly like to take the credit when it is due, so it certainly needs to apply to blame as well. The Bush Team are big boys and certainly know what they have been doing for the last six years. Their failures will clearly fall on their shoulders. It only remains to be seen if many will ever know what they have really done.. The democrats will have to weigh whether the country can move forward and stand up to what Congressional Hearings would reveal.

It's really an old cliche or adage in some cases but, most who run for the office are briefed about the state of the union and they read the newspapers.

I would say Clinton caused his own good and bad parts.
Bush caused his own good and bad parts.
The next President will be responsible for everything.

History is the best judge!

No. September 11 is probably the main cause. I strongly believe that the president is doing the best that he can right now. Dome people argue that the U.S. should not have gone to war. But then the terorists would attack again and again.

Bill Clinton is at fault for his own failures. As a Republican, I can at least admit when my President makes mistakes. Its like watching a football game. My team fumbles, I get mad. The Dem's team fumbles, they say its part of their playbook and then admit it never happened

Clinton's at fault for all of his own failures:
Somalia
Haiti
Middle East
Iraq
North Korea
No response to terrorist attacks
Cuts to military budget
Cuts to intelligence budgets

Bush has been quite busy cleaning up those messes, btw.

Yes, of course.

Bush has done nothing wrong, only right. Even the Bush admins response to Katrina can be blamed on Clinton.
