no, I think it is rude, stupid, and disrespectful. Just because one person knows the story does NOT mean that others do. And, often we forget the age range here...what is obvious to you and me may NOT be to another, younger person. When their questions are flipped off with rudeness, it would seem to me that it would leave a very bad taste in, at least my mouth, about the crowd in general. Neither you, nor anyone else is allowed to "besmirch" my name by being cute. IF you do not like the question, then pass it by...where do others come from that they think they are the world's appointed smart arses to dispense sarcastic answers to what may well be a very real question? There are NO stupid questions, only stupid answers. ( make an exception to the bashers here, there "statements" are best handled by totally ignoring them...no answers, no reporting, no "flags down"...just totally ignore them and they will go away.

Sweetie, it isn't fun to bash on anyone. :)
Besides, what may seem stupid to you and me may not seem stupid to another individual. Someone might think your question is stupid and want to "bash" on you. Would you be ready to receive that?

Not really. It would only be a temproray happiness until you see more dumb questions being posted. Its lik pulling a grey hair out of your head- every time you pull one, 3 more come in its place. I say ignore them. Saves your energy for the more important things in life such as writing more meaningful questions for people to respond to.

Fun ............................. NO .
Rude and mean ...............................Yes .
If I think the question is "stupid" most of the
time I skip over it . Sometimes , I have to
give my opinion .
