Do you think it's pitiful, or just funny?

My favorite response so far is the one that says "Pride commeth before the fall..."

You're telling me, bro!

What whining? I have not heard any Republicans whining. I have not heard any Republicans saying the election was stolen either. Interestingly the only people I see complaining are Democrats which is amusing considering they won. Democrats complain, Republicans regroup. While I am sure it is distressing for Republicans that many of their own jumped ship it cannot be denied that a message needed to be sent. I am an independent and don't really care either way. However, I think I would rather be in the Republican camp at this point than the Democrat. This is because the Democrats do not have a mandate from the people and they do not have a plan. They campaigned on a platform of we are not the Republicans. Now they have the power and no hope of implementing anything for the next 2 years without Republican support. They can no longer just blame the Republicans because this will not wash either. Frankly, I see bitter disputes coming for the Democrats as they now have to battle between moderates and the rogue liberal elements of the party without a scapegoat to unify them. It will be interesting to see if they can hold power after the next election. All I can say is enjoy the great feeling that winning brings for as long as you can because the reality train is coming right at you and it arrives in January.

Nah, some Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton will come along and it will be 8-12 more years of Republican rule.

The trouble with the Republican Party is the leadership was conservatives and not Republicans. If you look at the original platform of what makes a Republican a Republican, you will see these people are not real Republicans. Less government, support of privacy, less spending, supporting the middle class (and part of that is stoping the importing cheap labor by going after the people that hire them) are original Republican platforms. I think some real Republicans are glad these guys are gone.

The Democrats are going to have nothing to work with because they ran by saying they were different that the Republicans without saying what that difference is. Once they get a platform together, there will be so many mistakes that the people will want the Republicans again.

Honestly... I'm an independant voter. Not a Republican or Democrat, but I think it's no funnier than Democrats whining about everything and pointing their fingers at our clown of a President. It's annoying. It's called, grow up, bow your head and admitt defeat.

I will say this, what's sad is the reason why many of these Democrats were elected. Many voters followed the logic of, "A vote for a Democrat is a vote against Bush", rather than "The right man for the job". The American voters made a statement this week. They said, "We don't care, we've just had our fill of Bush". Especially in New Jersey, where Bob Menendez (D) won the Senate seat from Tom Kean Jr. It's still unclear as to Menendez exploiting his political posistion for financial gain, and he claims no Federal Investigation is taking place, but Bob won the election not by attacking Kean Jr and attacking Bush instead.

I think it's both sad and shamefull when a whole country is so fed up with it's Executive branch of government that they would rather vote against the current President's party, rather than the right man for the job regardless of his party.

Not from hear....and by the way...who was whinning when gore lost or when kerry lost.......no one likes to lose...be they Dems or Reps....I am rep and personally I think haveing a split gov is a good thing.....

1. There is still a veto power the pres. has.....and the Dems don't have enough of a majority to overturn it...

2. The pres. is really going to have to mind his Ps and Qs to get things going for the Reps in 08'

So in order for anyone to get anything done they are going to have to work together....and the moderates from both parties are going to become the key players......which is what we really need...we don't need the far left or far right to be in control...we need those moderates.....from both parties....those people are the ones who really speak for the average american.

Republicans asked the same about Democrats after Gore and Kerry. It's a part of human nature because people who are heavily vested in a race or decision are bound to be bitterly disappointed when it goes against their view.

The sad thing is that all politicians immediately forget after an election that they are elected to represent ALL the people in their constituency, not just their narrow party view.

It's not nearly as funny as your liberal gloating. Pride commeth before the fall...

I'm a democrat but I haven't heard any whining yet. They're expressing surprise and what are we going to do now? And, of course, they're disappointed. They're theorizing about the many reasons they're out. I guess they aren't behaving any differently than the democrats would when they lose. Maybe our definition of "whine" differs.

I live in the most republican state of all - Utah.

I hear no whining here.

Maybe they are just subdued. Many of my co-workers are quite happy, as am I.
